It feels like February has just flown by. Maybe it’s the fact that my husband is out of town. Maybe it’s the fact that things are picking up for spring. Whatever the cause, the stress has been weighing me down and I’m having a hard time keeping up with responsibilities.
Since things have been so hectic lately, I thought it’d be nice to slow things down a bit on the blog. I thought it would be fun to share a few of the things I’m really loving lately!

1. Getting Noticed
Not only am I a mom and a blogger, but I’m also a business owner, trying to get noticed in a sea of other online business owners. The book Getting Noticed was recommended by a friend of mine, and I loved every minute of it. The book is so down to earth and real, and it was loaded with great advice for building a following on social media.
I just finished it this week, and I can’t recommend it highly enough to other mamas in business!
2. Savvy Minerals Makeup
Can I just say how much I love this makeup?! I’ve tried so many brands over the years, trying to become a person that actually wears makeup every day. Every single brand I tried just left me frustrated. It either clogged my pores, wore off during the day, or left me with some sort of reaction.
I don’t even necessarily have sensitive skin, but makeup gave me so many issues! When Young Living came out with the Savvy Minerals line in June, I was skeptical. I got a few pieces just to give it a try, and I fell in love.
They recently came out with the starter kit, which comes with everything you need for a simple 5 minute face. I grabbed that to grow my collection, and I’ve had so much fun experimenting and learning new techniques! This makeup is free from all of the nasty ingredients I avoid, but it also has amazing coverage and actually stays on all day. It’s made my skin actually clear up which was a bit of a miracle, too.
I’m telling ya’ll. This makeup is the real deal, and I’m so glad I gave it a shot!
3. My New Diffuser Bracelet
I’ve always liked the idea of jewelry, but it’s not often I find pieces I’ll actually wear. My friend just opened a new boutique online though, and while I was browsing her site, I fell in love with this bracelet!
It’s not marketed as a diffuser bracelt, but since it’s made from leather, that’s how I’m using it! So now I have a cute piece of diffuser jewelry that matches most of my wardrobe. It was a great price, too! Now, she’s sold out of these, but I told her I was bragging about it in my oily groups so she said she can get similar styles if there’s enough request. (So please go start requesting more styles of leather jewelry so I can also feed my new addiction!)
4. Trim Healthy Mama
I blogged about this meal plan earlier this month, and I’m still totally loving it! I weighed in today and I’m officially down 7 pounds (even after a really bad weekend on vacation), which makes this the most successful weight loss plan I’ve found in 2 years.
Not only have I lost weight, but I’ve felt so much better, too, and I don’t feel deprived at all. I highly recommend their cookbooks, because they’re loaded with some amazing recipes. There are so many options that I can’t imagine ever being bored!
If you want to read about how I got started on this plan, you can read my story here.
This isn’t a new love, but it’s something I’m making more of an effort to do every day. I started sharing about it on the blog recently, and I’m hoping it’ll keep me more accountable!
The biggest part of my practice has been at home, but I’m hoping soon I’ll be able to manage a gym membership and start attending classes a few times a week.
Tonight, I’m going to my second Glow Yoga event with some friends, and getting out and sharing the experience has been so inspiring! I’ve loved every minute of getting to know my local yoga community, and feel like it’s really enhanced my practice. I’m also registered for a “Wine and Unwind” yoga class for next month, and I feel like it is just the perfect combination of some of my very favorite things.
That’s what I’m loving lately! I hope life settles down a bit soon. I’m already counting down to summer vacation if I’m honest. For now, I’ll just enjoy the few minutes of down time I get to enjoy a new book, learn a new yoga pose, or practice a new makeup skill. At thirty-something years old, wel all know it’s about time I learned how to apply makeup, right?!
